FAQ

Here are some of the most common questions we receive:

What if I’m claustrophobic?

Each float tank is about nine feet long and six feet wide, roomy enough to feel comfortable with plenty of space to stretch out or sit up. Although most floaters prefer darkness, low lighting is available, and tank door may be opened at any time.

Are there any medical or other conditions that would prevent me from floating?

Floating is safe for everyone including pregnant women, although if you are experiencing nausea during your first trimester or anytime during your pregnancy, it may be better to float at a later time.  We also recommend consulting your doctor if you have questions about any health conditions.

Is the water sanitary?

Yes. Salt water is naturally antimicrobial and antiseptic. In addition, tank water is totally cleaned in between each float using a multifaceted filtration system. Every floater steps into pristine water.

What if I can’t swim or if I fall asleep? Will I sink?

High density salt water’s natural buoyancy keeps anyone afloat. Floating makes you very relaxed and falling asleep is a possibility. Either way, you are completely safe and supported by the water.

What do I bring with me?

Nothing—everything is supplied, including towels, soaps, and shampoos. Similar to a massage, most people prefer to float without any restrictive clothing but you may bring a bathing suit if you prefer. Our  private vanity rooms provide hair-dryers and mouthwash. You may bring along any personal toiletries (hair brush, deodorant, etc.) if you desire.

How often can I float?

As often as you want. The experience gets better the more you do it because you are able to become more relaxed the more familiar you get with floating.
